Define sheet dimensions, material thickness, and available quantity. Choose from presets or enter custom values.

Configure cutting parameters
Set part spacing, edge margin, rotation constraints, and grain direction. Technology type is stored for reference. Kerf polygon offset is planned.

Nesting Center exposes the precise controls that production teams need — without overwhelming casual users.
DXF/SVG
Native file import
Parses DXF and SVG files. Imports closed contours, holes, slots, and internal cutouts. Geometry is stored and rendered accurately.
Spacing
Part-to-part distance
Set part spacing and edge margin. Current engine uses rectangular bounding-box placement with configurable gap. Kerf-aware polygon offsets are planned.
Rotation
Rotation constraints
Allow 90° rotation steps or lock orientation — per part or globally. Grain direction lock prevents cross-grain placement.
Grain
Grain direction lock
Lock part orientation to sheet grain for wood, laminate, and anisotropic materials. Rotation is constrained to 0°/180° when grain is locked.
Sheets
Multi-sheet layout
Distributes parts across multiple sheets automatically. Each sheet tab shows placed parts and utilization.
Report
Production report
PDF with sheet thumbnails, part index, and material utilization per sheet. SVG export contains stroke-only part contours.
Priority
Priority placement
Mark critical parts HIGH priority — they are placed first when sheet capacity is tight. Per-part quantities expand copies automatically.
History
Run history
Every nesting run is kept with its settings snapshot and result. Reopen past runs and download their exports.
